

On Assassin's Creed Valhalla: The Siege of Paris, I worked as a Quest Designer. My responsibilities were:

Concepted and handled almost all the side quests in the game, including the procedurally generated Rebel Missions

Took over an entire arc of the main quest

Scripted said quests in a proprietary engine

Coordinate with the rest of the team (writers, level designers, artists, etc.) from three countries

Handled and scripted the dialogue scenes, including the aforementioned branching Rebel Missions

And much more!
This was my first project with Ubisoft Singapore. I came in when the project was on its way to Alpha and was given the side quests and world bosses to concept and see it all the way to completion. Halfway through the project, I was also given an entire arc of the main quest to refine and maintain, working within multiple teams and pods to ensure everything was delivered to the high standard set by the directors.
Side-quests
Roman Exacations
The largest quest to which I saw from conception to final product. It involves Eivor exploring three ruins to uncover a weapon related to the Hidden Ones (ancient-era Assassins) to prevent it from ending up in the enemy's hands.
Rebel Missions
The procedually generated Rebel Missions serve as the repeatable content for this DLC. Working with Pierre, the rebel leader, Eivor does missions to grow the rebel's influence throughout Francia.
Frankish Nobels
Three world bosses Eivor can find in Francia, the Frankish Nobels are a group of eccentric individuals from a once noble family. Comedic and intense in equal measure, each of the Frankish Nobles have a unique arena, challenge and narrative surrounding them. (My personal favorite being the Duelist at 5:36 in the video below)
World Mysteries
Scattered throughout the world of Francia are small little world mysteries that the player can experience. These aren't trackable quests, but instead serve to populate the world with simple objectives that focus more on flavor and setting than cutscenes and content.
Main Story, Chapter 2
Little Mother's Questline
Halfway through the project, I was entrusted with Chapter 2 of the main story. This questline, consisting of three quests, included key story moments and a blackbox: an open-ended mission leading up to an assassination event.
In this questline, Eivor urgently seeks 'Little Mother', a nun who has been 'disappearing' individuals, as she has captured the Queen of Paris, Richardis.
